We started the 2026-27 season with a win at home against Great Bardfield who had moved up from Division One.

We took the lead after three minutes, after some good play in midfield by Ben Hindley, he played in Arran Dyson who cut inside and finished past the keeper.

Bardfield equalised nine minutes later when a cross into the box went in to the net off James Watson’s knee.

Neither side made any further breakthrough as the half ended 1-1

Three minutes into the second half we went back into the lead when a corner from Rory Bone was headed in by half time sub Ross Kochan on his return to the club.

To their credit Bardfield kept battling and kept our defence on their toes as they pushed for another equaliser but they couldn’t find the net.

As the ninety minute marked arrived we got a third goal when another sub Ollie Jones did some great work and played the ball through for Rory Bone to head past the on rushing keeper.
