We travelled to face another promoted side Felsted Wanderers this week for our second Premier Division fixture of the season.

Felsted took the lead after 18 minutes when our stand in keeper Aidan Fitzgerald was beaten by a speculative shot which went in over his head.

We huffed and puffed to get back in to the game but Felsted were defender well and got through to the break without conceding.

Half – Time: Felsted Wanderers 1 CFC Shalford 0

Felsted extended their lead early in the second half when the unfortunate Fitzgerald tried to punch the ball away but it fell to a Felsted player to score and they made it 3-0 when Fitzgerald let a shot go through his grasp.

We finally pulled goal back in the 65th minute, when Jack Neale netted from the penalty spot, We then made 3-2 shortly after when Karl Swanborough netted his first for the club, now we had Felsted pinned back in their own half, we made it 3-3 when a superb free-kick from Ezra Drann nestled in the net and we got the winner with around 3 minutes to go when Jack Neale ran on a scored.

We got away slightly with one today, but we’ll take the three points and move onto next week.
