We welcomed Chelmsford Sunday League side Priory Sports to Shalford in the Essex Sunday Premier Cup 1st Round.
We went in front as early as the fifth minute, when a corner was flicked on by Jack Vidler, as the keeper caught the ball in a packed goalmouth he fell and carried the ball over the line.
We extended the lead in the 38th minute when Jack Neale powered down the left and passed inside to Arran Dyson who finished nicely into the net.
The second half saw lots of pressure from the visitors but we held firm giving them few chances in a fine defensive display, we had a couple of opportunities to go further ahead but failed to take them.
Final score: 2-0
We host Broomfield CSL in the second round on 19th October.
